Chris Knol  

Chris KNOL

Chris is an experienced development assistance practitioner and international project manager with extensive experience across the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific. He has participated and worked within all functions of the development assistance cycle, ranging from a team member to team leader. He has also implemented a series of large loan and technical assistance projects for the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNDP, Pacific Island Forum, AusAID, and NZAID.

Martin Eadie  

Martin EADIE

Martin has had a long involvement with education. Prior to returning to New Zealand in November his consulting role was as Deputy Team Leader and Communications and Strategy Manager for the Polytechnic of Bahrain, Martin was Executive Director of ITP New Zealand. Previously Martin had been the Group Manager for Tertiary Education at NZQA since 2001 and before this he spent five years as the General Manager of the Seafood Industry Training Organisation during which time he was also chair of the NZ Industry Training Federation.

Noel Scott  

Honorable Noel SCOTT

Noel Scott is one of our New Zealand's best-known education experts. A former school teacher and Inspector of schools, he has worked closely on many of the education initiatives and reforms of the past two decades. He is best remembered by many as the Minister for Sport and Recreation and Associate Minister for Education during the Labour government of 1984 - 1990. He has forged many close relationships with all sectors of the international development community and has worked on projects throughout the Pacific, Indonesia and Asia

Kate Colbert  

Kate COLBERT

One of New Zealand's best known faces of NZQA, Kate was Group Manager, Secondary Education and NCEA Implementation at NZQA prior to her current work as a consultant in capability frameworks for incursion response with Biosecurity New Zealand. Working with any education system can be daunting and Kate has the experience and expertise to navigate these systems, providing expertise to ensure process is improved and capacity built.

 

Kevin Brett  

Kevin BRETT

A resident of Australia, Kevin has been working in international education since 1985. His experience in project management includes design and implementation of education and development programs, transnational education delivery and student mobility initiatives. He also has considerable experience in marketing, business development and student recruitment both in Australia and offshore. His current prime interest is quality assurance in international higher education.

 

Mitzi Austin  

Mitzi AUSTIN

Mitzi is an education specialist with extensive experience in the secondary and tertiary sectors, and in administration at national level. She has facilitated curriculum and professional development in the Cook Islands and also managed their Teacher Education and Support Project on behalf of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

 

Pru Kelly  

Pru KELLY

Prue Kelly has been Principal at Wellington High School (WHS) since 1995. Prue is a dedicated and visionary New Zealand educator who has a reputation as a courageous and innovative leader who has always pushed the boundaries in the search for answers for what effective learning could and can be like. Her no-nonsense, direct style is matched by her empathy with young people, and her compassion for those dealing with difficult circumstances means she is inevitably willing to consider new ways to meet their needs while maintaining a focus on keeping them learning. Prue has a wealth of knowledge in export and international education, successfully working in the EU for a number of years.

Their work is characterised by a high level of business and political acumen, and their ability to deliver pragmatic and effective solutions, tailored to the needs of clients.

 

 

AERU

(Agribusiness and Economics Research Unit )

The Agribusiness and Economics Research Unit (AERU) operates from Lincoln University providing research expertise for a wide range of organisations.
AERU research focuses on economics, resource, environmental, and social issues.
The AERU employs full-time researchers and it also functions as a research coordinating body for staff of the University involved in economic, social, and environmental research. It can call upon the expertise of staff in all divisions of the University and it has close links with the Divisions of Commerce, and Environment Society and Design Divisions.

The AERU conducts contract research for clients. Research clients include Government Departments, both within New Zealand and from other countries, international agencies, New Zealand companies and non-government organisations, individuals and farmers. Research results are presented through private client reports, where this is required, and through the publication system operated by the AERU.
